Countdown to Valentine’s Day:
The Lust Experience updated their Facebook with “29” yesterday. Fans began to speculate on it’s meaning, but the predominant theory was that it was a countdown to February 14th, 2017–Valentine’s Day. Immersed reached out to Darren Lynn Bousman, the director of The Lust Experience, to see if he could comment, and he responded simply with:
“I have no clue what you are talking about… Outside of ‘28‘.”
We have confirmation that we will be given some news regarding Lust on Valentine’s Day. However, what that will be is still up to debate. Discuss thoughts in the comments below or on our Sister Site Haunting’s Slack Board!
And for those of you unfamiliar with The Lust Experience, it is the upcoming follow-up to 2016’s groundbreaking The Tension Experience. Tension redefined immersive theater in the Los Angeles area by crafting a beautifully layered story that spanned an 8-month alternate realty game (Indoctrination) and the immersive theater event (Ascension) that followed. This allowed relationships to be formed that evolved over the course of the entire experience. This emotional reaction will likely be a main focus in The Lust Experience. On The Verge, Bryan Bishop interviewed Bousman: “Don’t let the name fool you. [Lust] will be soul-crushing. Lust also can be about destroying your heart, as well. This is all about making you feel.”
